The ultimate question when you become parents…. How can we still go on adventures and surf trips with a baby? Well, John (my husband) and I put it to the test! We have been going to Hossegor in France for the past few years and did not want to skip it this year just because we had a baby girl (Sylvie) in June, I think it is so easy to drop everything you are used to doing once you have a child. So, we packed up the car, roof box and literally every item of baby stuff we have ever been given or bought and drove to France with some good friends who also have a baby. We rented this awesome house in Hossegor with a pool and amazing kitchen for two weeks. We went to a really stylish cafe called Waxed, have breakfast there if you are in the area, its delicious and really cool. I am not going to lie, the road trip could have been more enjoyable but we split it up by taking the ferry and we stopped for the night in La Rochelle on the way and way back which made it better. Sylvie was an angel and we took her for a paddle in the sea and we took her swimming for the first time. The surf was crazy huge so I stuck to paddle boarding on the lake and skate boarding, but John had some epic surfs. Below are a few of my photos from the trip taken on my Olympus PEN of our first little family holiday!
